Judicial fixing: Bar Council needs names

The Bar Council required names of individuals accused by businessman Loh Mui Fah of compromising the integrity of judiciary.

Bar Council president Lim Chee Wee said this was necessary in order to take up with the matter with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

"I have approached Mui Fah for disclosure of the names and he replied that he will do so in due course.

"We will wait for this to occur," he told Malaysiakini.

Lim was commenting on a video clip released by Mui Fah yesterday, which depicted the latter's conversation with an alleged accountant.
Mui Fah had baited the accountant into boasting about his relationship with two judges and this was caught on tape.
The video clip which he distributed to the press had the names of the judges bleeped out and the face of the accountant pixelised.
Mui Fah said that he and the accountant were both parties to a court case a few years ago and he had recorded the video as a form of insurance.
He is the father of Kelana Jaya MP Loh Gwo Burne. The duo were also responsible for the "Lingam tape" scandal in 2007.
