Rosmah Mansor, the wife of the prime minister, gave a group of protesters at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) the slip on Wednesday afternoon, after attending a function there.
About 40 students, all female, had gathered at the entrance of Dewan Canselor Tun Abdul Razak (Dectar) carrying placards poking fun at Rosmah during the incident.
Among others, the placards read, "Saving up for a RM24 million ring", "We want Rosmah to be PM" and "Please advise Najib to announce the election dates".

According to eye-witnesses, Rosmah's minders made sure that she left the premises through a different exit and a different car.
This reaction by Rosmah's entourage has baffled Ikatan Studi Islam UKM (ISIUKM), who was responsible for the protest.
The group's president Mohd Azan Safar said that the protesters were merely holding placards by the side of the road and wondered why Rosmah's minders had reacted that way.
"Why were they so scared to pass us? We didn't try to stop them. We were only holding placards.
"But to the point of having to change cars... makes them look like they are scared of students," he said.
UKM security personnel and students belonging to the Aspirasi faction did try to demand that the group disperse, he stressed.
However, they persevered and stayed on for another 75 minutes after Rosmah had left at 4pm.
