Tian Chua's ceramah disrupted yet again in Malacca

A ceramah (talk) by PKR vice-president Tian Chua has reportedly been disrupted yet again, this time in Malacca, last night.

Malay-language daily Sinar Harian reported today that Chua was adressing some 2,000 supporters outside PKR’s Malacca office at about 10.45pm when unknown assailants pelted eggs at the crowd.

However, the missiles only hit the supporters’ cars and the police were able to bring the situation under control, the paper reported.

Chua was said to be speaking about the sedition charges against him for allegedly accusing Umno of masterminding the Lahad Datu incursion at that time.

The daily also noted that the BN had set up a camp about 15 metres from the ceramah venue, but that there was no untoward incident in the area, aside from a “loudspeaker war”.

Chua, whose real name is Chua Tian Chang, has been repeatedly harassed throughout his ceramah circuit since his alleged remark in late February.

Though he has since denied it, his ceramah sessions have been disrupted at least twice in Penang and once in Kedah.
A protest had also taken place in front of PKR’s headquarters in Petaling Jaya on March 11 over the remark, where pro-BN groups had hurled eggs, sticks, and other projectiles at the office.

In addition, a mock coffin adorned with Chua’s portrait and a garland of flowers had been placed in front of the PKR Malacca office last week, apparently during the run-up to the Batu MP’s ceramah.
