Hundreds of goodie bags to be given out

12.59am: Malaysiakini comes across three women at a shop at Pekan Kuala Besut hard at work preparing goodie bags in preparation for a programme with a minister tomorrow. 

Each package is filled with various daily necessities such Milo tins, bags of sugar, cans of sardine and a five-kilogramme rice bag.

A staff at the store told Malaysiakinithey are to prepare 200 such packages as part of Ramadhan aid to be given out, but are unsure where the programme will be held or even which minister will be attending it.

Also seen are several men lifting bags of sugar out of a lorry, while two more are placing the filled bags of goodies onto another lorry.
