The allegation that school authorities of SK Seri Pristana in Sungai Buloh have made non-Muslim students eat in a makeshift dining room next to the toilets is shocking and scandalous.
We have not been told exactly why this has come about but the supposed excuse that this had to be done because of Ramadan is completely unacceptable. Ramadan teaches us to be generous, considerate and more caring to others. This is an insult to Islam and whoever is responsible must be dealt with accordingly.
Whatever reason it may be, it is still inconceivable how the school authorities could choose a shower room next to the toilets for a place for the students to eat.
The Education Minister must investigate immediately and take swift action.
